education, VAHQ continues its commitment to the values
of continuing learning and recognition of organizational
and personal achievement in the field of quality.
Quality Professional of the Year
Eligible candidates will be members of the organization
who have been members for at least two (2) years, and
who have demonstrated the characteristics of commitment,
dedication, passion, and enthusiasm for improving the
quality of healthcare as a healthcare quality professional.

Virginia Neal Education Grant
The Virginia Neal Educational Scholarship Fund was created
in 2006 for deserving VAHQ members who are pursuing further
education in the field of healthcare quality. Virginia
Neal is a gifted quality professional, who gave so much
of herself to the field of quality, and specifically to
the organization and members of the VAHQ. Over her distinguished
career, Virginia dedicated herself to teaching and mentoring
others. In recognition of her many acomplishments and gifts,
as well as her lifelong love of learning, and in honor
of her retirement from the quality profession the Virginia
Neal Education Scholarship was endowed on October 13, 2006.

NAHQ Award for Association Excellence
In 2011 VAHQ received the Bronze Award for NAHQ Association Excellence. VAHQ is very proud that this is the second year in a row that we have received this distinction.
