As the 2010 President of The Virginia Association for Healthcare Quality I am excited to lead the team that ushers in the first decade of the new millennium for our Association!

VAHQ is a state affiliate of the National Association for Healthcare Quality, and as such, provides a link for our members between what is happening on the national scene and what is relevant to the quality profession on a state-wide basis. The Association provides the following:

• Quarterly Newsletters
• “Info Blasts” on pertinent topics about the Association’s activities and about state and national healthcare quality/patient safety issues
• Educational courses with CPHQ CE credits
• CPHQ Review Courses with CPHQ CE credits
• The opportunity for its members to serve the quality profession through volunteer opportunities with the Association
• Networking opportunities between & among healthcare quality professionals
• Job postings for employers/quality professionals seeking employment
• Website-access to Association information and Conference presentations
• Online membership and conference registrations
